hella jongerius’ animal bowls

This Dutch artist makes porcelain bowls complete with teeny handcrafted woodland creatures.

Care for a little fox trotting around in your soup? No, probably not – generally speaking, it’s best to keep woodland creatures away from the dinner table. But these aren’t real critters; just tiny handcrafted porcelain ones.

Dutch artist Hella Jongerius made the series of animal bowls for Nymphenburg – a porcelain manufacturer out Munich-way – and you can buy one for yourself if you happen to have a lazy 1500 Euros lying around.

For the rest of us, we recommend sticking these pictures smack-bang in the middle of your inspiration wall, so you’ve got something to aim for next time you get near some clay and a kiln. Head over to Hella’s website to check out more.
