hannah gartside's fantasies

Previous Good Stuff finalist Hannah Gartside knows how to grab your attention. The Victorian-based artist creates installations and sculptures that play with our relationship to the physical world, often using found objects or items from personal experiences (cat hair and ex-boyfriends' teeth, for example) to tell a unique story. The Fantasies installation you see here was composed of polyester nightgowns from the '60s and '70s, which Hannah shredded and re-stitched to reflect the complexities of being in a female body.
