hand-painted macarons

Too sweet to eat, too pretty to ignore.

It’s a strange kind of torture we experience when clapping eyes on treats like these. How could we possibly bring ourselves to shovel macarons of the hand-painted variety into our gobs, thereby turning them into mere mush? By the same token, how could we not devour such exquisite lovelies? The very thought of consuming them makes us feel like royalty (hopefully not the kind that is later decapitated for feasting on desserts while the empire starves, ahem).

If you’d care to whip up a batch, head over to Bakers Royale for all the instructions. Mind you, they won’t show you exactly how to paint these botanical biscuit deocations, but they might just inspire you to create some of your own.
