gingerbread layer cake
Stuck for a festive cake to bring to the party? Give this gingerbread delight a go.
If you can’t be arsed building a gingerbread house (let’s face it, who can?), grab your ingredients and pile it into a cake tin instead. Baking a spice-packed cake is much more forgiving than attempting to ice four cookie ‘walls’ together – and, if you follow this recipe from The Swirling Spoon, it looks just as festive. To make the cake look extra special, Hannah suggests grabbing some rosemary sprigs and dusting them with sugar to create the illusion of snow-covered Christmas trees. Too sweet!
