future relief exhibition opening

By Staff Writer
14 September 2017

The lady behind Studio Twocan cement ceramics has a rather captivating exhibition opening in Melbourne tonight.

Fans of Studio Twocan – and indeed fans of ceramic wonderfulness in general – will be delighted to discover that Maddie Sharrock, aka the claymaster behind Studio Twocan, is exhibiting her latest works in a solo show, Future Relief. The exhibition reimagines ancient relief sculptures, turning them into modern designs, and – on a personal note – marks the beginning of Maddie’s transition from producing commercial art to doing art for art’s sake. Scoot over to Schoolhouse Studios’ Long Division Gallery (located at 81 Rupert Street, Collingwood) tonight between 6pm and 8pm to take part in the opening night festivities – or, should you not be able to make it this evening, pop past the gallery before Future Relief closes on Thursday September 28th.
