One thing Japanese designers can't be accused of is playing it safe.

One thing Japanese designers can't be accused of is playing it safe. The country is known for its bold and whacky wardrobes, and from next month GOMA will be celebrating the kookiness with its exhibition, Future Beauty: 30 years of Japanese Fashion.

Inside you'll find outfits ranging from elegant to outrageous, with designers like Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto and Comme des Garcons donating their threads. There's also designs from the new wave of fashion folk from the Land of the Rising Sun, and given their work has been described as 'radical', we can only assume there'll be plenty to gawk at.

Want to see for yourself? We have five double passes to give away to some very lucky Japanophiles – just email here with Future Beauty in the header to win. For everyone else, the exhibition runs from November 1st to February 15th, and you can suss out all the details on GOMA's website.
