full recipe – quick and easy choc peanut butter date hearts

By Katie Lolas

Katie Lolas shares a delish (and super-nifty) no-bake sweet treat.

There’s something undeniably special about dates – they’re soft, caramel-like and naturally sweet. These chocolate, peanut butter hearts are next level! Medjool dates are gently split, filled with creamy peanut butter shaped into little hearts, then dipped into silky, melted chocolate and finished with a sprinkle of pistachios or freeze-dried berries for crunch and colour. They’re simple to make, require no baking time, and feel indulgent without being heavy.

Think of them as your wholesome twist on the chocolate bar: nostalgic, luxurious and made with love. Perfect for gifting, sharing over coffee, or keeping in the fridge for when you need a little something sweet.

INGREDIENTS
Large dates
Peanut butter
Dark or milk chocolate, melted
White chocolate, melted
Pistachios, crushed
Freeze-dried strawberries, crushed

METHOD
Slice the dates diagonally and remove the seed. Fill with peanut butter.

Flip one side over and stick back together to create a cute little heart. Dip in melted chocolate and let set for 10 minutes.

Drizzle with white chocolate and sprinkle your toppings. Chill in the fridge for 10 minutes… then try not to eat them all at once.
