fredericks and mae handmade games

There's something rather special about playing games al fresco, especially when they're as lovely as the ones stocked by Fredericks and Mae.

Oh summer holidays, please never leave us. We couldn't bear the thought of weekends devoid of Grip Ball tournaments in the park, lakeside cloud watching sessions and ragtag soccer teams rustled up on the beach – holing up with a deck of cards just isn't the same!

There's something rather special about playing games al fresco, especially when they're as lovely as the ones stocked by Fredericks and Mae. The designers create beautiful handmade games in their Brooklyn studio, reinventing old faves like dominos, backgammon and beach tennis with a bit of a crafty edge. You'll find dip-dyed marbles, handpainted beach tennis kits and our pick of the bunch - pressed flower kites – over here. Be warned that they're a wee bit dear, but can you really put a price on fun?
