frankie christmas wishlist – iris mcpherson

Ooh! Cosy and colourful gift ideas from our lovely marketing coordinator.

Our rather wonderful marketing coordinator Iris has rustled up a selection of goodies that are sure to appease your pals (especially the ones who enjoy pastel pink items and cuddly textures). Have a gander at Iris’s pickings below.

Clockwise from top-left:

1. In winter, I tend to revert back to clothing colours that bring me comfort: neutral and mostly black. I put this Acne Studios scarf on my wishlist last winter to bring a pop of colour to my wardrobe, while also being cosy and warm. Winter has come and gone and it's still on my wishlist, so it must be a bit special.

2. My dream is to start a flower farm/market garden. For now, I'll have to stick to my tiny garden. I still need somewhere to display my blooms, though. This Fazeek vase is interesting but still simple enough to let my flowers be the main attraction.

3. For the longest time, I've been meaning to learn to do all the creative things like knit, crochet and sew. With this DIY blanket kit, I’ll learn how to crochet and get a cosy blanket afterwards! Win-win!

4. My current glasses are broken and glued back together, with the lenses all scratched up. Not ideal for someone who needs them to see. I've been eyeing these Oscar Wylee glasses for a while now.

5. These Merry People clogs will keep my toes dry during all this La Niña weather while I tend to my flowers (and dream of that flower farm/market garden).

6. I've been lusting over this Keane ring as it incorporates my favourite gemstone, opals. I love how the hand-blown glass lets the opals really sing.

7. All of the walls in my house are completely bare and I need to pretty them up. What better way than with this beautiful print by one of my favourite artists, Emma Hollingsworth (aka Mulganai).

8. My mum is from Taiwan and when I was younger, I would spend the summer holidays there. I don't go as often now that I'm older and I miss all the delicious food. While my mum has taught me some dishes, it's quite difficult for her to pass down more over FaceTime (and without proper measurements, as she cooks from the heart). So, I'm thinking this book, First Generation: Recipes from my Taiwanese-American Home, will transport me back to Taiwan, while incorporating more western ingredients, too.

9. I love makeup and have an embarrassingly large collection. I've been trying to be more conscious about what I buy and this Youthforia blush oil is something I keep coming back to! It looks green, but it actually changes colour based on your skin's pH and the formula is apparently delightful, too.

10. If you couldn't tell, this one isn't for me, but for my cat Miso. She really doesn't need another bed (she's got two already and doesn't use either… typical cat), but this one from Pidan looks so comfortable and makes me think she'll be getting bear hugs all day (which I wish I could give her).
