elizabeth + birgitta

By Sophie Kalagas

When we found out two local designers would be collaborating on a whole new collection, our ears eagerly pricked up.

Melbourne ladies Birgitta Helmersson and Elizabeth Yong have been running their own clothing labels, Djur and Primoeza, for quite a while now, and we’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for their stuff. So you can imagine that when we found out they’d be collaborating on a whole new collection, our ears eagerly pricked up.

Called Elizabeth + Birgitta – for fairly self-explanatory reasons, we would think – the six-piece range is full of soft neutrals and comfy linens, and a bit of a Japanese-inspired feel, as well. Plus, in the interest of keeping their fashion sustainable, each piece is made entirely to order, from the pattern snipping to pulling together of each gusset, waistband and carefully crafted pocket.

If you’d like a little something made just for you, stop past their brand new online store and see what they can do.
