diy hat-topped pendant light

It would be a crying shame if your Sunday best were only to be seen on Sundays (or not at all if you spend the whole day in bed watching the X-Files).

It would be a crying shame if your Sunday best were only to be seen on Sundays (or not at all if you spend the whole day in bed watching the X-Files). Rather than sacrificing a day of flaunting your finest threads, accessories or three-piece suit, here’s an idea for you: pop them on show all week-long and whip up some sweet décor while you’re at it.

The folk at Paper & Stitch suggest popping that beautiful-but-rarely-worn hat of yours on a dangling lightbulb, flicking the switch, and giving it the glowing attention it deserves. You can follow the DIY over on their blog – there’s a bit of tricky wiring involved, so we take our hats off to you if you manage without calling in someone who’s a bit of an electricity whiz.
