diy clay face plates

Roll out a lump of clay, shape it to your desire and voila!

Working with clay doesn’t always involve a pottery wheel – sometimes all you need is a rolling pin and a couple hours up your sleeve. Kate Schmidt from Snap Society whipped up her Matisse-inspired plates by cutting and shaping a hunk of air-dry clay. Once dry and sealed with Mod Podge, they make for rather swish places to hold your odd bits and bobs. Easy-as!
