dima pokrovsky’s miniature houses

This Ukrainian chap hand-makes tiny replicas of old school buildings (including soviet apartment blocks).

Well, this is rather sweet. Dima Pokrovsky, a Ukrainian fellow who lives on one of the Dnieper River’s biggest islands, hand-makes tiny replicas of traditional buildings. Some are in ornate European architectural styles; another (pictured just below) is modelled on a typical low-cost Soviet apartment building. All of them are intended to sit on a shelf in your house, almost like dollhouses, minus the dolls.

Take a peek at Dima’s online store to see more of his handiwork – you might just find something that takes you down memory lane, or gets you contemplating a trip to Eastern Europe.
