dauphinette's pressed-flower fashions

Brooklyn’s Olivia Cheng creates lovely duds designed to make you smile.

Olivia Cheng, the young Brooklyn designer behind Dauphinette,  has said her mission is “to make the happiest outerwear on Earth.” That’s definitely how you’ll feel looking at her leather jackets pressed with real hydrangeas, little purses adorned with vintage stamps and coat sleeves embellished with fluffy pink feathers. Heaps of her pieces are made from vintage and recycled clothing (particularly old fur coats, denim and leathers), and most of her collection is one-of-a-kind, which overall, can make it a little exxy. If you’re pinching your pennies, there are smaller, more affordable pieces up for grabs, too – like this earring made of a real rose and coated in resin. Of course, there's no harm in just window shopping, either. That won't cost you a dime.
