danielle clough's jazzed up racquets
Tennis was never our forte at school or beyond, but like many former pursuits, we still have the paraphernalia to prove we once tried.
Tennis was never our forte at school or beyond, but like many former pursuits (jazz dancing, pottery, the recorder, the list goes on) we still have the paraphernalia to prove we once tried.
Danielle Clough’s series of embroidered racquets make us keen to drag out our dusty old tennis ball-hitter and give it a bit of a makeover, just like she’s done with the help of her trusty needle and thread. Wind by wind and twist by twist, Clough fills the spaces between the strings with beautiful floral patterns, transforming each pre-loved sporting instrument into a canvas for intricate woolly art.
Head to her website for a look at some dressed-up Slazengers that even the most un-sporty types would want to hang on their wall.
