cross-stitched flowers in the streets of madrid

By Staff Writer

This embroidered street art installation is pretty much pure loveliness.

We daresay this is one of the most impressive (and delightful) cross-stitch art installations we’ve ever seen. Raquel Rodrigo, a Madrid-based lass, whose résumé includes stints working in set design and interior decoration, has popped her large-scale floral needlework up around the streets of her hometown (and up around Valencia, too). Take a peek at our gallery below to see the stitching in its various stages, then head over to Raquel’s website to see more of what she calls “embroidered architecture”.
