If you're looking for a craft project that is going to achieve more than gathering dust on the mantelpiece, you might want to have a gander at Craft For Cats.

If you're looking for a craft project that will achieve more than gathering dust on the mantelpiece, you might want to have a gander at Craft For Cats. It's an initiative run by the Animal Welfare League of Queensland that aims to sew together some cute critters to raise money for animal adoption and re-homing. They provide you with all of the know-how and patterns - your only challenge is not keeping your creations to yourself!

And if you don't consider yourself handy with a needle and thread, you can 'adopt' one of the crafted cats from their store here.

The AWLQ assists in re-homing lost and abandoned animals in the state's south-east. They have three centres in Ipswich, Beenleigh and the Gold Coast and operate purely on donations. If you want to help out, be it volunteering, donating or taking a furry friend home, have a peek at their website.
