clay and wish ceramics

When Il Sung Na isn’t fossking through flea markets, he’s making ceramic critters – like this here pooch lamp.

Il Sung Na sounds like a thoroughly likeable gent. The Seoul-born artist teaches illustration courses in New Jersey, and spends his downtime fossicking through flea markets, on the hunt for interesting items to show off to his wife and dog.

He also writes and illustrates children’s books, and somehow manages to find the time to make these sweet ceramic critters. His range, known as Wish and Clay, is entirely handmade and includes plenty of wee pots (which double up as candle holders) and the odd pooch with a light bulb sticking out of its head. Sniff out more of his work, or buy a piece or two, just over here.
