cj hendry's petals

By Emma Do
26 February 2020

If you're lucky enough to be in London this April, you might like to take a squiz at CJ Hendry's hyper-realistic petal drawings.

If you’re a regular around these parts, you may already know CJ Hendry for her gob-smackingly realistic drawings of paint. Not one to rest on her laurels, CJ’s since taken on a grander project: renovate a dilapidated London church in time for her solo exhibition in April. To add to the drama, she’ll also be dropping 10 tonnes of confetti over the duration of the show (the confetti is recyclable, in case you were wondering). It’s all for CJ's impressive new petal drawings, inspired by 17th century Dutch still life paintings and pop art alike. CJ's exhibition ‘Epilogue’ runs from April 3-12, 2020, so if you're lucky enough to be in London town then, make sure to keep updated via CJ’s Instagram.
