chocolate doggy treats

Whip up some mini sausage dogs that are good enough to eat.

Sausage dogs and their little stumpy legs are cute as all heck, so it seems a bit wrong that we’re so keen to chomp them down. Not the living-breathing-furry types, of course – just these clever combinations of chocolate-y goodness. They’re made from a mishmash of tiny treats: mini Twix bars, Hershey’s Kisses and slivers of Tootsie Roll for the tails and ears. (You could find all the ingredients at your local American candy store, or any other choccie tidbits could be used to sub in.)

A tray of these puppies should set you back about an hour, depending on how often you stop to gobble along the way. Handmade Charlotte’s got all the instructions and some handy-dandy step-by-step pics too.
