cat rabbit and the seven seas exhibition

The new show from Cat Rabbit and The Seven Seas features an ideal combo of cape-clad alpacas, collared kitties and some too-cute human folk.

Last year textile artist Cat Rabbit and her multimedia-making mate The Seven Seas took a whirlwind trip to Tokyo, and they haven't stopped thinking about it since. Feeling super inspired by their experiences in the Land of the Rising Sun, the pair mingled their musings and poured them out into a collection of kooky art pieces, complete with cape-clad alpacas, collared kitties and even some too-cute human folks. Titled Ai-Ai Gasa, the collection includes soft sculpture, embroidery, painting and installation, and it's showing at Melbourne's No Vacancy gallery from May 9th until the 19th.
