Calvin Ross Carl creates the sort of art that has you contemplating your life in the toilet mirror at a bar on Friday night. Using acrylic paint on paper, he writes slogans that range from motivating to thought-provoking and a little bit sad: “median salary”, “enough enough enough” and “give up” among them. But, the colour palette is lovely and the art itself is charming, and who doesn’t fancy a demotivational poster or two? (We sure do – check out issue 65 for proof.)
