Remember Billie Justice Thomson, the Melbourne lass who spends her days getting busy with a paintbrush and window panes?

Remember Billie Justice Thomson, the Melbourne lass who spends her days getting busy with a paintbrush and window panes? We chatted with her way back in issue 61 about her business of prettying up suburban shop fronts, but these days she’s been working on something a little more personal – a whopping big solo exhibition called The Order of Things.

Featuring poppy still life paintings – from summery cocktails to severed hands – the glass and perspex pieces are made to tell multiple tales. As Billie says, “The images are arranged and rearranged into a sequence that can tell many stories; it all hinges on the state of mind of the viewer.”

The whole shebang is going down at Modern Times in Melbourne from tomorrow night at 6pm, and if you can’t make it along. you’ll have until Thursday October 8th to catch a glimpse.
