andreas berlin’s vase tables

This German maker turned pretty second-hand vases into even prettier tables.

Like us, Andreas Berlin has a bit of a fetish for flea markets. Unlike us, however, the German maker had the clever idea of turning pretty vases he’s found on his secondhand travels into even prettier tables.

The vases from yesteryear form the bases of Andreas’s pint-sized handmade stands, each unique and requiring some rather delicate handiwork in order to be structurally sound. (There’s nothing sadder than an afternoon tea platter tipped all over the floor, after all.) To date, he’s collected and repurposed around 800 vases, which is keeping his design team at UNICORN BERLIN rather busy – and us rather inspired!
