GREATER THAN THE SUM OF OUR PARTS is a novel by Nada Elia on how the Palestine struggle for freedom is bound up in a multitude of other causes, and how activists are coming together around the world.

GAZA IN CRISIS is a 2011 novel written by Noam Chomsky and Ilan Pappé about Israel’s ongoing attacks on Palestine – long before the 2023 war began.

VOICES OF THE NAKBA is an award-winning novel written by Diana Allan that documents the 1948 Nakba (translated in Arabic as “the catastrophe”) of Israeli-enforced ethnic cleansing of Palestinians removing them from their property, lands and culture.

THE HUNDRED YEARS’ WAR ON PALESTINE is written by Rashid I. Khalidi, a Palestinian who writes about his own personal experience and family archives about living in a dispossessed land.

CREATIVES TO SUPPORT
NÖL COLLECTIVE hand makes garments in Palestine, as well as works alongside local, women-owned and family-run cooperatives and workshops. 

ASEEL TAYAH is an award-winning Melbourne-based artist, public speaker and activist, whose main passion lies within creating a world abound with art and keeping children safe and away from conflict. 

MALAK MATTAR is a Palestinian painter and author, most known for writing and illustrating the children’s book, Sitti’s Bird: A Gaza Story, which is inspired by her own experiences of childhood in occupied Palestine.

DANA ALBATTRAWI is a visual artist, illustrator and painter based in Sydney who also has a rad selection of Palestine-inspired apparel on her own Etsy shop to peruse through.

TRASHY CLOTHING describes itself as an “anti-luxury luxury label” and has been a Palestinian fashion house since 2017, creating clothing inspired by satire and kitsch.

AYHAM HASSAN is a Palestinian fashion designer based in the UK who explores ancestral craft and contemporary survival through his experimentations.

REEMAMI is a Palestinian-UAE-based clothing label that plays with colour, texture and shape across its collections of joy-inducing garms.

ORNAMENTAL BY LAMEICE is a Palestinian glassware brand that blends heritage, craftmanship and play.

PALIROOTS is a clothing brand founded by Palestinians now based in the US, featuring rad streetwear threads, kufiyas and soccer jerseys.

MQAAAR features a range of tees, jackets and pants – all made in Palestine.

HIRBAWI has been weaving authentic kufiyas – a symbol of solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for freedom and independence – since 1961, and is home to the last kufiya factory in Palestine.
