The folks at the Alliance Française are a thoughtful bunch. In addition to their annual film festival, which features the crème de la crème of contemporary French cinema, the language association is holding a classic film festival – basically the “golden oldies” edition of the fest of French flicks.

Of course, the French have more than a few cinematic legends to pick from, and this year they’ve chosen to focus on les blondes: Catherine Deneuve, Brigitte Bardot, Jean Seberg, Simone Signoret and Romy Schneider. (Excuse us while we fan ourselves down over here.)

There are so many reasons to head along to this – great films and amazing actresses included – but even if you just went to check out the rad retro duds and hairstyles, we’re pretty sure you’d leave on a little cloud.
