a walk to remember
Hungarian shutterbug Marietta Varga has managed a remarkable feat: to capture her hometown exactly as it exists in her memory.
No matter how crystal clear a childhood memory may be, when you return to that same place in reality, it never quite looks the same. Fortunately, shutterbug Marietta Varga was able to capture her hometown of Siófok in Hungary exactly as she remembers it, thanks to the atmospheric conditions of a certain winter’s morning earlier this year. With a bit of frost in the air, and snow lacing the trees, grass and cyclone wire fencing, Siófok looks pretty remarkable. Must’ve been quite a childhood for Marietta, wandering those streets, lined with pastel buildings. Scroll down to see what we mean – and pop over to Marietta’s Instagram to see more of her pretty work.
