a teepee-shaped home
This retirement home, tucked away in the mountains of Japan, has us wishing we were a wee bit closer to our twilight years.
This retirement home, tucked away in the mountains of Japan, has us wishing we were a wee bit closer to our twilight years. Tokyo architect Issei Suma designed the conjoined teepee-shaped buildings for two ladies in their 60s, and the lucky things get to do more than just chill inside. One of the huts is a spacious kitchen; another has a spiral-shaped paddling pool. Pretty sweet, eh?
You’ll find the mini-complex in the Shizuoka Prefecture (should you happen to be in trundling through Japan any time soon), and more of Issei’s eye-pleasing structures right over here.
Lovely pics by Takumi Ota.
