Artists Catherine King and Wayne Adams couldn’t afford real estate – so they decided to make their own. The married couple hand-built their own floating dream house, moored off the coast of Vancouver Island, over 24 years and counting (it’s a constant work in progress). At present, their island home, aka Freedom Cove, encompasses a main living house, a dance floor, a lighthouse building and four greenhouses. Wayne regularly fishes for dinner in the surrounding waters, and Catherine couldn’t imagine living any other way. Take a peek at our gallery below, then play on the short video documentary to see Catherine and Wayne enjoying their lovely lifestyle.
