a garden full of tulips and no one to see them
Photographer Albert Dros got the rare chance to tour the Netherlands’ famous Keukenhof garden, all on his lonesome.
Famous for its winding tulip rivers and amazing colours, Keukenhof garden in the Netherlands is usually teeming with tourists during this time of year. Since the coronavirus crisis wiped out visitor numbers, though, the park has closed for the first time in 71 years. Despite this, the flowers looking beautiful as ever and Dutch photographer Albert Dros felt it was a shame for the world to miss out on the spectacle. So, he asked the park to let him in for a special solo wonder. (Luckily, they said yes.) Below are some of the photos Albert snapped during his stroll, with nary a soul in the frame.
