The early 1900s was a pretty fascinating time for fashion. Ladies went about their business (which we imagine included a great deal of high tea indulging, needlework and riding side-saddle) while dolled up in exotic garms made from luxurious fabrics. That is, of course, until the Great War came along to ruin the fun and usher in a much more practical way of dressing.
