I'm hoping to pick up an old wardrobe and table for my house soon. I want to strip them back and freshly paint them. So watch this space! But design sponge is a great source of inspiration! http://www.designspongeonline.com/ I have been obbsessed since buying a house.

Yeah I love that idea, it looks so sweet, I have yet to do the string of polaroids, but I did look for little pegs the other day wich I was unsuccessful in finding. But I've picked out the ones I will use. I really wish I could just take a week off and get everything done I've been really wanting to do!

I am converting this old sewing box into a jewlery box. I got it for $25 in good condition, mine is minus the handle though.
I am so excited to put all my treasures in one pretty place!
I'm really loving the DIY thing at the moment, my old wardrobe is sanded and first coat of paint is on!

I bought small canvases and some cloth squares from spotlight today so after dinner i'm going to iron the cloth and then staple them to the canvas. They're grey with random patterns and the middle one is bright purple, thanks to jakies beautiful colour scheming

double post, get over it :P

I need some help. I have gyprock/plaster walls and nails will rip it. Picture hangers aren't big enough/strong enough to hold up my canvases. Any suggestions as to how I can hang my canvases on my wall?

will they peel the paint off?
mum wont let me put up anything thatll peel off paint...
i was thinkin also that i could maybe staple some string or a chord to the back of the canvas to see if itll hang on the picture hanger better, but idk if itll work cause theyre heavy

thanks for your suggestion anyways! Will check with mum when shes home to see what I can do

i can't remember the brand, but i have some where you pull the tape from the bottom when you want to take it down. i've moved mine around a few times and it hasn't taken the paint off.

^ I've found that those hooks only peel paint off if the walls are very old!

I have a few DIYs that I want to do, mostly repainting of opshop things. I really love the jam jar ideas by Pip Lincolne in the new issue of Frankie. I'd also like to try a few things from the P.S. I Made This blog.

The 3M hooks don't peel paint off. BUT, you have to prepare the wall well by using alcohol wipes, otherwise the hooks can fall down. I had this happen recently cos I couldn't be bothered using the alcohol wipes.
