trotski & ash

Although Trotski & Ash sounds like some Russian revolution novel, it’s not. It’s actually a new blog from passionate cooks Sarah Trotter and Romy Ash (who has penned her lovely thoughts for frankie before). Their delightful selection of recipes so far includes a yummy cauliflower soup, apricot jam, honey joys and grandmother's famous fish pie. A delicious start to the day.

what's for dinner?

Yum. I was wondering what to make for dinner tonight and now I know. This delicious looking pesto pizza with mushroom, jalepeno and feta. Thanks mustard and sage for the recipe. You'll need a pizza base, homemade pesto, mozzarella, mushrooms, jalapeno and feta. To make pesto combine 1 cup of basil leaves, 3 tbl pine nuts in processor. Add 1-2 garlic cloves. Pulse. Slowly add 1/4c olive oil while processor is on. Scrape down the sides, add 1/4c parmesan. Salt and pepper to taste. Layer away, cook in oven and start drooling.
