Two frankie friends, singer songwriter Andrea Soler and illustrator Sara Hingle collaborated on Andrea’s debut album Earth On An Axis and it looks and sounds very pretty. Andrea’s just recently returned from the UK where she played at Isle Of Wight Festival and recorded her album at Sonic Kitchen Studios in Poole, Dorset. She’s inspired by her French ancestry and likens herself and her soft, sweet tunes to the old ways of gypsies and travelers. For a listen head to her myspace.

The lovely Jane from Melbourne band The Tiger and Me emailed us recently and introduced us to her band. We had a listen and thought their sounds were delightful so we’re telling you about them, because we think you’ll like them too. The band just played at the Port Fairy Folk Festival and they’re looking to launch their album - From a Liar To a Thief - at the Toff in Town on April 17.  Think ukuleles, drums, violins, mandolins, banjos and lots of foot tapping good times.
