Hello pets, Glad you could be here for our new site-warming party. Pull up a chair
and get comfy. Once we’ve cleared away all the streamers and party hats and leftover
gingerbread, we’re going to be decorating and renovating as time goes on, making
sure you get a constant stream of pure frankie goodness online. If you have a peek
around our new abode, you’ll see we’ve added some new wallpapers to pretty up
your computer, a roaming ‘stereo’ so you can listen to some sweet tracks (just click
on the tape icon up the top) and a prize page with lots of stuff to win. There’s a tour
through our back issues, lots of links and info and, of course, the frankie forum (think
of it as our lounge room), where everyone can sit around and have a good natter.
We’ll be here letting you know of the latest frankie goings on, and we hope to hear
from you as well. The door is always open and the welcome mat will always be laid
down. Love, Jo and Lara xx
A big thumbs-up to Simone Rosenbauer, one of our regular photographers who just won a prize at the Canon Profashional Photo Awards in Germany for her Pippi Longstocking shoot that features in frankie 24. The proof is here, but unless you sprechen the Deutsch, prepare to be a little befuddled. |

On the eve of our 25th issue, we are celebrating Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival with a look our favourite fashions, shoots and photographers from the past 25 issues - a frankie fashion photography showcase! Fergus, Red Ghost and Des Miller will be along to play their pretty sounds, with nibbles and drinks...and the prettiest pages in print. We would love to invite everyone along for the 'do' next week (13th Aug), but it's only a wee place. Sydney people can subscribe to our newsletter and drop us a confirmation line This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. I love stumbling across random coolness on the interweb, and I think my personal prize for radness this month has to go to PhotoShowerCurtain.com. It’s a site that does exactly what it says on the box: send them your digital images and they will make a personalised shower curtain showing off your pretty pictures. Plus they are happy to ship to Australia. Just think of the possibilities: favourite landscapes, arty shots, that picture of your boyfriend posed to look like he’s picking the Statue of Liberty’s nose ... Definitely one of those ‘why didn’t anyone think of this first?’ type ideas. |

| New York photographer Porter Hovey likes a bit of Polaroid action and we’re sure glad she does – her insta pics of her home town look warm and nostalgic and magical. Have a look at more of them here. Sigh. New York. So pretty. So far away. |

Welcome to frankie magazine online, the digital way to quench your frankie thirst in between issues. Here you will find lots of nice bits and bobs including clothes, music news, craft, photography, travel, Australian events and more. Our weekly Tunesday feature will bring some sweet tunes into your mid-week, and there’s our regularly dotted recipes featuring not only the delights of Australian food blogs but yum stuff from all over this big wide world of ours. And of course plenty of arty, creative, crafty things for you to try at home!
