Super frankie friends Fiona Newton and Louise Irving are putting together a new market in 2010 and they need your help. Fitzroy Market will kick off February 6 at Fitzroy Primary School, Napier Street, and the idea is to have an awesome mix of arts, crafts, local produce, secondhand stuff, ‘garage sale’ stalls, performers and musicians hawking their wares on the first Saturday of every month, plus raising cash and awareness for local community groups. At the moment they’re putting a call out for stall holders so if you’re keen to get involved (selling craftiness, or maybe just getting rid of all your old clothes) head over to Fitzroy Market for details.

Another year, another round of Finders Keepers. Melbourne's kicking off the market season this weekend at Shed 4 in the Docklands. Come down to the frankie store and purchase your very own beautiful art print for $20, with all proceeds going to charity. Artists to choose from include Catherine Campbell, Beci Orpin, Luke Chiswell and Amy Borrell. All poster profits will be donated to the Red Cross Appeal to help people in the QLD/VIC floods, Japan and Christchurch. We'll also be selling SPACES and other goodies for your consuming pleasure.
