Hands up who is obsessed with The Wire? OK – we’re guessing most of you have your hands up now. Now wave them around in an agitated manner if you are suffering serious withdrawal symptoms after the series finale and looking for another excuse to say the word “shitbird” a lot. Well, frankie people, we’re here to help. Treme is a new show from the creators of The Wire. It’s set in New Orleans three months after Hurricane Katrina, and – just quietly – it’s frickin brilliant. Also it stars John Goodman. That is a good thing. Thanks to the nice folk at Warner Bros, we have 10 copies of season one on DVD ($39.95 each) and 10 copies on Blu-ray ($49.95 each) to give away! Email your details (including which format you’re after) to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with Treme in the header and you just might win. |

For all of you theatre buffs out there, it's time to grab a box of Malteasers and head to Sydney Theatre Company's production of Baal. The story of a hedonistic yet endearing artist, it has just finished a lauded run in Melbourne. The play is by the stupendous Brecht - one of our favourite mind boggling playwrights - who has a habit of turning the simplest themes into theatrical sudokus. It is running from Wednesday May 7th through to June 11th, and we have two double passes to give away for the show on Monday May 9th. Time for more Sydney Theatre Company goodness! Next up is Edward Gant's Amazing Feats of Lonlieness. Set in 1880s Britannica, Mr. Gant is the ringleader to a troupe of the weird and wonderful. The play follows him and his hoard of oddities in a series of other-worldly theatrical vignettes. And get this - the costumes are all done by Romance Was Born, 19th century crazy sideshow style. It's going to be a spectacle! It opens on June 16th and will run to July 23rd. To celebrate, we're giving away two double passes to the show on Monday June 20th. It is no great secret that we love love love Warpaint. They're chicks that rock without burning their bras and making a big deal of it (although we wouldn't put them past incinerating clothing items on stage - they're that hot). Their effortless, driving harmonies and lazy bass lines first got into our ears last year, and now they're finally hitting our shores again. We're so excited that we wanted to give you guys a little present: a chance to win one of three double passes for every Australian show! During July they're playing Sunday 24th in Adelaide, Wednesday 27th in Melbourne and Thursday 28th in Sydney. To enter just send an email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
