Sunset Sounds in Brissie is ramping up to be a pretty special festival indeed. Set in the Brisbane Botanical and City Gardens, the festival will see the likes of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Moby, Jamie T, Datarock, The Middle East and Rodrigo y Gabriela strut their magical stuff over January 6 and 7. Better be quick to get tickets – they’re on sale through ticketmaster right this minute.

We just got a sneak peek at the next Golden Plains line-up and of course wanted to share with you lovely readers. As you may or may not know Golden Plains recently took out the top award of Favourite Festival for the second year running at the Australian Festival Awards, as well as winning Best Management and Facilities. The festival organisers have deliberately kept capacity at the same level making the three-day event filled with cruisy times and excellent tunes. It’s all happening again next March 6, 7 and 8 and line up includes Pavement, Dinosaur Jr, Dirty Projectors  (pictured), The Big Pink, Midnight Juggernauts, Tame Impala, Super Wild Horses and a whole bunch more.
