When Daniel Evans isn’t writing up a storm for frankie, one of his alter egos (believe us, he has a lot of them) spends his time as a theatre reviewer in Brisbane. He’s just spent the last few days big-upping this new production from La Boite, so we thought we’d ask him to write a guest blog for you all, about his newfound theatrical love, Attack of the Attacking Attackers: |

Speaking of cheeky little Chrimbo gifts … Brisbane’s Etsy street team, BrisStyle, is putting together something of a market extravaganza tomorrow December 13th at Hamilton Town Hall. Over 30 local Etsy-ers will be selling their homemade wares, plus the very kick arse 4ZzZ will be broadcasting live from the crafting bonanza in the afternoon. Raffle tickets and other fundraising will be going towards the Knitting for Brisbane’s Needy charity. Sounds pretty freakin’ cool. |

Question: is it disappointing to see something this cute and yummy-looking and NOT be able to eat it, or should one say ‘hurrah’ and embrace the testament to noshability that will last forever? Rebecca Ward and Shannon Garson are clearly of the latter point of view. A contemporary jeweller and porcelain artist respectively, they’ve teamed up for a new show, Nibble, creating a whimsical range of porcelain and silver jewellery that’s good enough to eat. You can see more piccies of it here, or if you’re in Brisbane head along to Fusions Gallery, 483 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley. The show runs till Saturday February 7th. |
