reading & reviewing

Karin Elizabeth reads loads of books but instead of just blogging about them, she reviews and takes a styled self portrait which refelcts what books she’s reading. Addictive and interesting, Karin started her blog Reading & Reviewing because she felt she needed to think a little more about each book she’d read. Reviews range from Harper’s Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird to Huruki Murakami’s The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle to JK Rowlng’s Harry Potter series. The self portraits are the best. http://ofbooks.blogspot.com

"Hipster Puppies". We know that you've probably read the title of this post and have said, 'Please, I don't want to read any text. Just show me photos of pooches wearing tortoiseshell framed glasses and ironic band T-shirts'. So here you go. Check out them all out here on their tumblr. Happy Monday!

kicking it, tomboy style

Looks like we've found ourselves a new favourite blog, doesn't it? Tomboy Style pays homage to stylish women throughout the ages who have inspired us with their free-spirited wildness and penchant for making menswear look super sexy. It's not all about clothing though: it's in the attitude, baby. Lizzie Garrett is the lady behind the blog and we salute her. It's about time something like this happened. Oh, and she is also in the process of turning Tomboy Style into a book. Stay tuned.

supermarket sarah wall

Supermarket Sarah, our favourite creative 'wall dresser', has been nice enough to give us our very own frankie wall! You can have a look-see at it here. The best part is that if you’re from the UK you can buy everything you see dangling in front of your eyes. If you’re from overseas you can too, but you may have to pay a wee bit of postage. PS - unfortunately, the frankie sausage dog is not for sale.
