Hello boys. We’ve found a new shopping website that might appeal to the more lackadaisical among you. Lazyguy was set up under the assumption that most blokes don’t really want to spend hours shopping for good stuff to wear and would rather bag it all in one spot with minimum muss and fuss. With a mix of local and international brands including Meet Tyrone, Jon Pumper and David and Goliath, it’s well worth a looky-loo. |

Yesterday our lovely friend and frankie artist Catherine Campbell sent through this wee poster promoting her upcoming exhibition with fellow ladies Andrea Innocent, Eveline Tarunadjaja and Mel Stringer which is opening this weekend in Melbourne. I was just about to rewrite all the info up and then had a thought ... what a shame to not share this prettiness with everyone... so here it is ... |

frankie friend Kate Bradley was a featured musician in our issue 25 story ‘Going It Alone’ and is a super-talented lady with the voice of a very, very dirty-minded angel. You may also have heard some of her tracks right here on this very website. Right now Kate is in the finals of the Tooheys Extra Dry UncharTED competition, which publicises unsigned acts and generally supports the hell out of local music. There’s four days left to vote for Kate over at www.uncharted.com.au – if she wins she gets her own spot on the Big Day Out tour plus a record deal and media exposure. Oh, and if you vote you could win cool stuff too. |

Have you secretly written a short film screenplay over a glass or four of pinot noir? Well, you might just get the chance for the world to see it. The 2011 Tropfest Film Festival, the world’s largest short film festival, is now taking entries. Movies can be professional or amateur, and for the first time, they can now be submitted over YouTube. The only rules are that your movie has to be under seven minutes long and contain this year’s signature item: a key. If you want to start small, you can also enter the Mobile Masterpieces: short films shot using your mobile’s inbuilt camera. Entries close January 6th 2011 for the awards presentation in Sydney on February 20th. Action! |
