We've been waiting for a new quirky director to enter silver screen land in the vein of Michel Gondry and Jim Jarmusch, and the head-honcho behind new film Beginners might just be it. Following the semi-autobiographical story of its director, Mike Mills, it portrays the delicate turmoil that the protagonist is left in after his elderly father comes out of the closet after the death of his wife. It stars Ewan McGregor and Melanie Laurent, the awesome French actress most well known for her politely murderous role in Inglorious Basterds. Oh, and how could we forget, there is also a Jack Russel terrier that communicates through subtitles. Yep. We have 50 double passes to give away for a super-special frankie screening in Brisbane at 6.30 on August 23rd. The first 100 to RSVP here will win!
